Not trackday level protection, but as a part of an overall everyday protection plan it is good value for money. Very lightweight yet feels durable. Also has decent back coverage and does not make you look like Quasimodo.

Comments about Alpinestars Bionic Air Back Protector InsertUsed interchangeably in 2 alpinestars jackets (1x leather, 1x textile); fits perfectly and easily in both. Makes the back of the jacket "bulge" out a bit when installed; which kind of makes the rider look a bit "fatter" than s/he normally is. But overall very good product.
