  Comments about Alpinestars ST-5 Drystar PantsThese are excellent riding pants. They are not meant to go over other pants. I am a size 7/8 and around a 30/31" waist. I ordered the medium (men's medium ST-5 Drystar) b/c they fit like a glove. They fit perfectly. Definitely get one size bigger than your real waist size b/c of the inner liner. A little snug when wearing the inside liner but still they feel great. I have not had an issue with the button as I bought pants that fit. I can however see the button popping if they were too tight. These are great quality. The cargo pockets are fantastic and there is a smaller zipper pocket near the waist. Great for change and gas money. They are definitely waterproof and very warm. I have owned a few Alpinestar pants and these by far are worth every cent. They are not flattering for the ladies b/c of the cargo pockets but once you have them on, you will forget all about the big pockets. Definitely a touring and travelling pant. And the pockets are very useful. They feel great and you feel protected. Excellent travelling pants or riding to the store. They look great and are wonderful.

  Comments about Alpinestars ST-5 Drystar PantsI was worried about the fit as Alpinestar calls these a "sport tour" fit. I ride a cruiser with my feet forward. The St-5 is prefect for the cruiser riding position. Also these are quite stylish. I wore them over my jeans today and it looked like I was wearing just one pair of pants. These are so not bulky. My only qualm is that they are not very conspicuous. There are reflective stripes on the butt, but it doesn't help on a cruiser. I would prefer reflective strips down the side of the legs.
