Comments about Joe Rocket Alter Ego PantsGreat pant overall. Fits true to size. Fits like a pair of jeans would. This is not a summer riding pant. In average tempatures you will sweat your bag off. Has underliner that makes them warmer/waterproof. But even with vents open/off, still tooo hot for warm days. Durability is great and stitching and double padded where needed. Rear waist is high rise and gives extra crack coverage, without being bulky. I use them mostly when temperature drops, closer to october months. Safe Riding.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Joe Rocket Alter Ego PantsGreat overall pant. Fits true to size and fits alot like your average pair of jeans. Very well stitched and durable. Removable liner for rain/cold days. One area with mesh/panels for more breathing on warmer days. Used as a winter riding pant with proper layering. This is not a summer pant! Used more for cold/wet days with liner. With liner out with full venting, you will still sweat your bag off. Even at post 100km/hr speeds. There is better venting/breathing apparel on the market. Happy Riding...

Comments about Joe Rocket Alter Ego PantsI bought these to replace my current Alter-Ego pants. These pants are fantastic for all seasons. Although the rain-proof lining is an inner lining, it's pretty easy to get them in... pop the legs through and zip around the waist is all that's really required. You can snap in the loops around the knees to make it easier to keep the legs of the lining down. The lower 3/4 length side zippers do leave you dancing a bit more when pulling the pants on, but for the added benefit of the zip-out panel to reveal a mesh panel about 4" wide all around from knee-to-knee across your lower back. It's well appreciated on the hotter days. The new ones are better built than my old pants, better velcro adjustment straps on the waist and more sturdy cordura shell and they altered the zippers on the zip-out panels so you start unzipping it from each end. Still have to see if that's better or worse. Overall, these are great touring or commuting pants. They fit the bill just fine.
