Shoei Qwest Helmet

Shoei has developed a brand new, high grade shell design. Ventilation is integrated into the shell for a more streamlined look. The aerodynamically improved shape utilizes an air spoiler to reduce drag and lift, as well as diminish weight pressure on the neck, while riding at high speeds. All Shoei helmets undergo rigorous wind tunnel testing in developing a design that can withstand severe real world riding conditions.
  • Aerodynamic Shell Design
  • Upper Air Intake Vent is positioned to maximize air volume into the helmet interior
  • High performance fiber materials are combined with extremely elastic organic fibers to create a shell structure that is ultra lightweight, rigid and resilient
  • 3-D center pad and multi-layered, polyurethane foam cheek pads
  • Q.R.S.A. (Quick-Release Self-Adjusting) base plate allows for tool-less shield removal and installation
  • The spring-loaded base plate (U.S. patent pending 11/799935) pulls the shield back to contact the window beading evenly and ensures a proper seal
  • Scratch-resistant coating
  • 99.9% protection from harmful UV A & B rays
  • Snell-M2010, DOT

Comments about Shoei Qwest HelmetAs with all shoei products, this helmet is significantly overpriced but nevertheless is comfortable and enjoyable to use. It was however, disappointing to find this helmet to be a 'real fogger.' This necessitated purchasing a replacement 'PinLock' shield and insert (about $100!). So far, this system seems to work fairly well but should have either been offered with the helmet or available at a much lesser cost. Thank goodness for Canadasmotorcycle.ca agressive pricing. This helmet replaced my older and much heavier helmet. I found that the included chin pads were too tight for my wide mug but replacement with Shoei's thinnest pads seemed to do the trick. My only problem now is I no longer feel confident leaving my helmet beside my motorcycle when parked. Oh well... Incidentally, I did recomment this helmet to a friend, my best friend, my wife. Hopefully she'll receive her's in a day or two.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Shoei Qwest HelmetUnable to comment 100% due to the fact it is winter. I only tried it at an indoor karting track and it was fine. Another month and a half and I can really test it.

Comments about Shoei Qwest HelmetThis is a great helmet and I have been convinced that this is probably by far the best helmet at this price point. It's a little bit noisier than I expected but at the same time the incredibly light weight and exceptional padding makes the helmet so comfortable it's hard to feel negative about that.

Comments about Shoei Qwest HelmetThis helmet fits like a glove and is comparible size-wise to other helmets (I ordered a large). I get a lot of tension in my neck causing headaches and this extremely light-weight helmet is a real treat (best perk). Given the price and all the shopping around I've done, this helmet is probably the best bang for your buck you'll find.

Comments about Shoei Qwest HelmetThis helmet is amazing. Fit perfectly and looks amazing. Shoei is renowned for the quality of their helmets and this product proves it. 3 cons: If you buy the mate version, beware of scratches. It marks easily. The fog mechanism doesn't work in cold weather. And finally, compare to other helmets, the side visibility is good but not great. Buy hey; if you want to protect your head, this is one of the best on the market for the price tag (even better than the rf-1100 who is too heavy and to pricey)
