  Comments about Shoei RF-1100 HelmetI use this helmet on my Fz8. My x-eleven was 5 years old and it was time for a fresh helmet.If something this one fits a bit more loosely (but true to size and maybe like 5% smaller compared to the x-eleven. Weight is very similar, vents are easier to operate on the RF-1100. Still some slight whistling when turning head, sometimes I need to push on the windshield to make it stop when looking ahead but overall the noise level is equivalent to the x-eleven. Compared to the x-twelve pricing, you get a lot for the price of the RF-1100. If shoeis fit your type of head shape, you can't really go wrong with this helmet. On a bike with a windscreen and fairing, it should be very quiet. The big negative point with this helmet I found is how easy it gets scratched. In a month, it has more scratches then my x-eleven got over 100000km of use! They must have changed their clearcoat recipe, and they should really go back to what they were using before. Otherwise, great helmet for the price.

  Comments about Shoei RF-1100 HelmetGreat helmet. It's a bit more expensive than some but it feels like a quality product. Better seal and fit and finish than many entry level helmets. Worth the money to me, its my head!

  Comments about Shoei RF-1100 HelmetMost comfortable helmet I've bought so far. I use it almost every day of the riding season and it's great. Wide opening so you can see everywhere, super light and has great vent system. I find it tends to fog on stops when the visor's closed and sound proofing could be better but otherwise it's an excellent helmet. Would buy a 2nd one without hesitation.
